Instead, this first part of the shoot is all about the things that actually make a fashion image work: collaboration, colour theory, identity, hair, makeup, wardrobe, styling and understanding the person you're photographing. Because great fashion photography isn't necessarily about complicated lighting or expensive equipment. It's about having a clear idea of what you're trying to create and making every element of the shoot work together. In Part 2, we finally pick up the camera and see what we can create using just one light, a simple concept and a very simple setup.
