HADERLUMP ATELIER BERLIN SS27 ATRIUM FULL RUNWAY SHOW

The collection ATRIUM draws from a formative chapter in Creative Director Johann Ehrhardt’s life—his early apprenticeship in hospitality. During the quiet winter months, when the stillness of off-season granted staff a reprieve from the demands of peak service, Johann found himself with a lot of extra time on his hands. It was in this quietude that he first turned to sewing. What began as a simple pastime quickly developed into a passion, ultimately guiding him toward the study of fashion design. ATRIUM draws inspiration from the attire of both staff and guests in grand hotels of the 1930s, as well as from the social dynamics embedded within these spaces. Hierarchies, relentless routines, status symbols, and forms of alienation shape the visual and conceptual foundation of the collection. It explores the connections between bodies that would otherwise never intersect, as well as the awkward intimacy of seemingly incompatible roles brought together by circumstance.
