Horrockses Fashions: Everyday Glamour & the Art of British Ready-to-Wear opened at The Harris in Preston on 19 September 2026 and runs until 31 January 2027. But if you won’t have a chance to visit, this video will make you feel like you were there! I'm taking you inside the exhibition where around 60 of these extraordinary dresses are on display to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the launch of Horrockses Fashions in 1946. The dresses are shown alongside fabric swatches, design materials, photography and other archival treasures. And if you're a dressmaker like me you are going to enjoy looking very closely at these.
