I’m a fashion entrepreneur. I've spent my whole career in fashion commerce - a full 360, I've done it all. 1976 - My first fashion job working in a retail store in my town while I'm still in High School. I'm exposed to buying for the first time and the fashion bug in me is born. 1979 - I start working at a boutique in NYC working my way up to store manager, then buyer. I'm attending FIT at night. 1989 - I open a multi-line showroom launching the hottest brands of the nineties with showrooms in NYC & LA. Rachel Zoe shops my showroom for the latest trends as a budding assistant editor at YM magazine. Mariah Carey and Marisa Tomei come with their stylists to curate looks. The baby tee trend is born in my showroom. As is the California dress look with all the floral prints. The grunge movement starts in the early nineties. I launched Joe's tees, Custo Barcelona, and Earl Jean. 1993 - I open Unchained, a fashion boutique in New York City's Upper West Side. Local celebrities frequent the shop. 1997 - I start Alice & Trixie which comes to be known as a contemporary collection focused on high-quality silk resort wear in customer-designed bespoke prints. Throughout the years I sell Barneys, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters, among others, and better boutiques
