Scrap Fabric Rope Bread Basket | Easy Sewing Project for a Craft Show

Join me as I turn rope and little strips of scrap fabric into a useful bread basket! This is Episode 2 of my series sharing what I’m making to sell at the 2026 St. Therese Holiday Showcase. I’ll show you how I prepare the oval base, sew the rope, add fabric scraps, and finish the basket with a little faux leather detail. Each basket can be as unique as the scraps you choose! For this project, I use a 100/16 jeans needle and a zigzag stitch set to 5 wide and 2 long.
