They Said Crochet Machines Don't Exist ...Then What is This?!

They said a crochet machine was IMPOSSIBLE… but what if someone actually built one? For years, crocheters have been told that crochet can't be done by a machine. But researchers have developed real machines that can actually crochet! So why aren't we seeing crochet machines in stores? In this video, we're taking a closer look at two experimental crochet machines: Croche-Matic, developed by Gabriella Perry at Harvard, and CroMat, developed by researchers in Germany. We'll also explore why industrial machines are sometimes called crochet machines when they're actually knitting, what makes crochet so difficult to automate, and why clothing companies still rely on human crocheters. These machines aren't something you can buy for your craft room, but they might change what we thought was possible! 💬 **LET'S TALK CROCHET!** Would you ever use a crochet machine if someone made one for home use? Or do you think crochet should always be handmade? Tell me in the comments! 🎥More crochet videos, patterns, and tutorials: Crochet Fast Fashion?
